Reflections on the Qur'an

Reflections on the Qur’an is an on-going project to summarise personal reflections on the Qur’an (initially addressing sūrahs 1 and 2), beginning September, 2022.

This work is not of the same order as that found in my works The Qur’an: A Complete Revelation, The God Protocol, or The Mysterious Letters of the Qur’an: A Complete Solution. Those are of an analytical nature (in the sense that they present positions supported on the basis of verifiable data) and — within their respective spheres — present conclusions based upon evidence resulting from the application of set hermeneutical methods. They are, therefore, accessible to the Western mind with its requirement for material analysis and quantification.

Reflections on the Qur’an are reflections of a personal nature upon the contents of the Qur’an. Certainly, those meditations and insights owe much to my work the Qur’an, but they are informed also by broader reading and personal insights. As such, they address the reflective, symbolic and intuitive — modes of thought and understanding more closely aligned with the pre-Enlightenment world — and they are presented, and are intended to be understood, in that spirit.
